Get Your Tickets to DC3’s Youth Day Before They Run Out!

The Detroit Creative Corridor Center (DC3) will host the 2017 Youth Day at the Michigan Science Center on Saturday, September 30th. I plan on taking my own children to the Youth Day festivites and we’re looking forward to the event. It’s going to be a fun day for the whole family! Read on for the details on this exciting event!

Hey, Parents! The Detroit Creative Corridor Center (DC3) is hosting Youth Day on Saturday, September 30th from 10 A.M. 4 P.M. at the Michigan Science Center. Youth Day is part of the seventh-annual Detroit Design Festival (DDF), a celebration of design and creativity in Detroit.

I’m looking forward to taking my kids to DC3’s Youth Day event! The creative center is planning a day of fun-filled activities for Youth Day. Twelve hands-on workshops will be available, such as:

  • kite making
  • creating paper hats
  • auto design sketch and design your own concept cars
  • make your ôwn paper hats
  • learnīng about urban planning

Zhen (4) loves flying kites so I know she’s going to be so excited to learn how to make her own kite. The teens Elijah and Michala also love art. In fact, Elijah is studying art this year for his homeschool studies. He also loves learning about concept cars so I know he’s going to enjoy the auto design sketch activity. Michala loves to sketch, too. I think her favorite activity will be the “Coloring Station” where you can color your favorite natural hair girl (LOVE that they’re promoting natural hair love!). My kiddos are going to love Ýouth Day!
