Location: Cobo Center, parking garage

Details: We had parked in a parking garage around the corner from Washington Boulevard, which was just a little lower than street level. As I walked by the gate of the garage, I noticed I could see the city streets from the garage. From where I was standing, I could see the People Mover gliding by on the train tracks, cars driving up and down the streets, and people walking by the parking garage.

I walked up to the gate and aimed my camera lens through one of the holes in the gate. I wanted to capture these city scenes from inside the parking garage, through the gate, to reflect what we see when we are looking from behind the gate.

  1. I like! I like. I miss ‘edgy’ streets. Singapore is lovely, clean and kind but totally lacks edge. Killing me from a street photography perspective, but I am determined to find some good street shots here.
