6 Things to Do in Detroit, June 23 – 25

6 Things to Do in Detroit, June 23 – 25

Happy Summer! June 21st marked the official first day of summer with the summer solstice. Did you do anything to commemorate the beginning of summer? We always like to go out for ice cream or chill at the pool. I know I’m looking forward to getting in as many days of street photography as I can. Baby’s due in about six weeks so I’m trying to get in as many days/nights in the city as I possibly can.

So what’s up for the weekend? Well, there’s the big annual summer festival Detroit River Days. I need to check that out because the two years I have been living here, I have yet to attend Detroit River Days. I also discovered four other events happening in Detroit. An art battle and a burger battle– not happening simultaneously, but sounds pretty cool, right? Then there’s “Yoga on the River” and a “Night of Love and Soul” and…waffles? Yes, you read right: waffles!
