Remember What It’s Like to Be a Kid Again

Lately, when I take the kids to the playground, I pick a swing beside them and start swinging. If I have the baby with me, I hold him in my lap and we swing together. I had forgotten how fun it is to swing on the swings, letting your legs soar up to the sky as if you can touch the clouds.

Zhen and Zechariah always like to pretend they’re flying in the clouds. They’re so cute when they giggle as they kick their legs out. “Are you high up in the sky with the clouds?” I sometimes ask. Giggling they say yes and push their legs out to try and swing higher.

It’s nice to just enjoy the moment with your kids and take time to play with them. It’s funny because now I look forward to swinging on the swings when we go out to the playground. You should try it sometime, even if you don’t have kids. Just find a nice park to visit and swing on the swings. Let your feet try to touch the clouds and the sky as you enjoy the breeze. I promise you’ll feel so free and it will relax you.

And if you do have kids, take them to their favorite park and play on the playground with them. I mean really play with them. Don’t just sit on a bench and do something else. Just forget all of your responsibilities and that thing that made you mad the other day or that big bill you gotta pay soon.

Just enjoy the moment and snap a pic so you can remember how you felt.

I hope you have a blessed weekend!

Jennifer xoxo
