“The first time they ever made music together, Fruition’s three lead singer-songwriters discovered that their voices naturally blended into beautiful three-part harmonies. In the eight years since that impromptu busking session, the Portland, Oregon-based quintet has grown from a rootsy, string-centric outfit to a full-fledged rock band with an easy but powerful grasp of soul, blues, and British Invasion era pop.”

“The sounds of The Appleseed Collective are as diverse as the personalities that create them.

As a triune of songwriters, O’Daly, Brown, and Worder-Smith craft tunes from the sublime to the darkly evocative. In the space of their new 5 song EP, The Tour Tapes they swing from dim club storytelling swagger to rich vocal harmony, from hot club hot licks to spacey ambience, from old Irish reels to modern American indie. Despite the diversity of influences, The Appleseed Collective’s sound is unmistakably it’s own.”

“Colorado bluegrass quartet, Head for the Hills, will hit the road this fall for a tour that canvasses the Midwest, Southeast and Colorado in support of their recently released studio album Potions and Poisons. The band will also perform New Year’s Eve in their hometown of Fort Collins, CO at the Aggie Theatre on December 31st.

The group released their fourth studio album in May of 2017, Potions and Poisons. There’s no reinvention of the wheel here–no computer programmed banjo rolls or digitally arpeggiated fiddle lines. Instead we find Head for the Hills at the peak of their powers of musical alchemy, building little worlds of sound from the detritus of bluegrass, jazz, hip hop, folk and soul.”
