Nordstrom Collaborates with MoMA Design Store

We all have that one person we know who is hard to shop for because he/she seems to have it all. Am I right? I have one loved one who I know has the latest gear and trends. It never fails. Every Christmas I find myself asking my husband what should we get our loved one because he seems to have all of the cool stuff already.

If you’re in the same boat as me, then you’re going to love today’s post. Nordstrom is collaborating with The Museum of Modern Art’s MoMA Design Store to present Pop-In@Nordstrom— a design-centric gift shop.

The shop opened just a few days ago on Friday, November 17th and will be available until January 7th. Pop-In@Nordstrom features a few pop-up shops in select U.S. locations.

  • Bellevue SquareBellevue, Wash.
  • CF Pacific Centre, Vancouver, B.C.

  • Downtown SeattleSeattle, Wash.
  • Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Ill.

If you don’t live in the above locations, no worries, my friend. The Pop-In@Nordstrom is also available online! I looked at the site and found some really cool, unique items. I think you will like it, too.

A Little About the Museum of Modern Art’s MoMA Design Store

MoMA Design Store is known for its curator-approved gifts. The unique gifts bring quality, creativity, and design innovation to everyday living. Each item selected by MoMA Design Store is product-tested using real-life scenarios, and reviewed by MoMA curators.

Prices range from $10 for coasters disguised as pieces of toast to $6,000 for a giant clock made up of 24 smaller, round clocks choreographed together to form one digital display.

Toast It Set of 8 from the MoMA Design Store

“Designed by Brazilian architect Patrícia Naves, this set of eight marvelously playful coasters is crafted from lightweight cork and designed to look like a loaf of sliced multigrain bread. (They’re the best thing since…well, you know.)”

ClockClock 24 Digital Clock from the MoMA Design Store

“Digital meets analog in this marvelously conceptual clock from renowned design studio Humans Since 1982. An array of twenty-four round clock faces makes up a single enormous display; the individual clocks are choreographed together, so that none of them, read independently, tells the time any longer—and yet collectively, they combine to tell the time after all.”

MoMA Design Store gifts also include a selection of gifts hand-picked by Olivia Kim and her buying team. From home and dining gifts to toys and games, Pop-In@Nordstrom features a great variety of gifts for your loved one who’s hard to shop for.

Another cool feature about Pop-In@Nordstrom: you can build your own gift box for just $50! Now, I really love this idea. This is how it works: Pop-In@Nordstrom features 5 out of 25-30 products you can pic. Some featured items are Christmas cards, home decortoys, wrapping paper, and more!
