The countdown is on: Halloween is in a week! Are your kids excited?
Zhen (4) is really antsy for Halloween for two reasons:
(1) She loves dressing up and is excited to get treats, and
(2) her 5th birthday is the day before Halloween!
We plan on celebrating her special day this coming weekend. We’re going to a pumpkin patch and a Halloween festival in Detroit or the Metro area. I’m still trying to decide which one we should attend.
“Can we decorate the house with spooky decorations and pumpkins?!”
This is what she asked me about decorating the house for her birthday.
Last year, we decorated the house with Halloween decor and pumpkins. We dressed up in costumes and went to Chuck E. Cheese for her birthday celebration. She wants to do the same thing again this year. I thought it would be fun to add a trip to the pumpkin patch since she loves pumpkins so much.
Now I just need to get the teens and the baby their costumes. Although, I think I will get Zhen a special birthday costume for her birthday. I’m really feeling this unicorn costume at Target. I love the soft, pastel rainbow colors paired with the gold. It’s so pretty!
Zhen has loved unicorns since before it became a popular 2017 trend (thank you Starbucks with your unicorn frappucino)! I know she will LOVE a unicorn costume for her birthday.
If you’re still looking for Halloween costumes for your kids, here are a few cute ones from Target.
