The Made Man Honors African-American Male Leaders in Detroit

Hope you had a good weekend and are feeling inspired to start a new week. Speaking of inspiration, an exciting community event is happening tomorrow at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

On Tuesday, October 17, 2017, The Made Man will honor over 30 African American male leaders and inspire, educate, and suit underserved men. Honorees will participate in a day-long series of activities, including mentorship and workshops, a suit for success clothing drive, and an honoree press conference and reception.

This star-studded event will have the presence of notable influencers in the professional concentrations of business, politics, law, medicine, civil rights, and entertainment, to name a few.

Tony Wylie, Senior Vice President of the NFL Washington Redskins

Giving Back to Underserved Men

The Made Man initiative is a multi-city empowerment series which highlights the outstanding achievements of powerful African-American males who are giving back to underserved men. These leaders are giving back to the community through mentorship, workshops, suit donations, and scholarship.

Over 13,000 suits have been donated to local organizations to give to men who would like to be “suited for success” and employability.

The Made Man honoree reception has been held in cities such as, Washington, D.C. (during the Congressional Black Caucus weekend), Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston, New Orleans, and Chicago.
