Last Friday, my family and I were invited to attend the Media Preview Day for the new Allegiant Nonstop (Nonstop) in Warren, MI. I brought along Michala, Zhen, and Zechariah while Travis stayed home with the baby. Elijah had to work so he wasn’t able to attend, but I know if he would have gone with us, he would have loved it!

Our experience reminded of when Travis and I went to MiSci’s After Dark event for their Vintage Video Game Night. It was such a cool experience to explore the center and play our favorite video games!

You can even make reservations for corporate events! Nonstop reserves a specific day of the week just for this.

WHAT WE ATE

The kids and I had a really good time at Nonstop. They loved it so much that they weren’t ready to go home!

Before we played any games, we enjoyed a complimentary lunch from the Nonstop team at the Roundtrip Cafe Restaurant. We ate pizza, fries, and boneless hot wings. The food we had was delicious!

My favorite dish was the chicken wings. The sauce had a tangy sweet taste to it. The kids loved the fries and pizza, of course.

Other food options Nonstop offers are:

  • Mozzarella Sticks
  • Onion Rings
  • Pickles
  • Side Salad
  • Chicken Nuggets
  • Churros

You can also build-your-own-pizza at the Roundtrip Cafe Restaurant. Toppings offered are grilled chicken, Italian sausage, pepperoni, applewood bacon, artichokes, arugula, tomatoes, mushroom, jalapenos, and pineapple.

WHAT WE PLAYED

After eating lunch, the kids were excited to start playing the games. In fact, I had to chase Zechariah around the cafe a few times because he didn’t want to wait for me to finish eating. Ha! He was just so excited to try out the games.

When we first walked into the game area, the kids were so amazed by all of the games they saw. Zhen and Zechariah probably listed at least five games they wanted to try ASAP!

I suggested we visit the jungle gym first because I knew they’d love it and I wanted them to get the full experience. Yes, Nonstop has a big, indoor playground! They also have an inflatable obstacle course right next to the playground.

The kids loved the jungle gym! Even Michala loved it and she’s 17! She helped me out with Zhen and Zechariah by going with them on the inflatable and playground. The playground features a few fun slides, tunnels to climb through, and more!

There is soft padding in the play zone so socks are required. I like the soft padding because I didn’t have to worry about my kids running around on a hard floor.

MAMA SAFETY TIP:

Keep an eye on your little ones when playing on the jungle gym. Some parts of the gym are meant for bigger kids. One thing we did for Zechariah is either I went with him on the playground or big sister Michala helped him with certain “big kid” parts.

Some of the slides aren’t for little ones so make sure you keep an eye on your child. A few of the slides are really steep and when you go down it, you slide really fast. I know because I tried one! Haha! It was so much fun, but I wasn’t prepared for how fast I would slide down it.

A small child could fall and possibly hurt herself so direct your little one to the smaller slides. Or you could accompany your child down the slide. Michala did this with Zechariah and she had him sit in her lap.

The kids loved the jungle gym so much that they didn’t want to leave, but I told them if they wanted to play the games, then we had to stop playing on the jungle gym! That got their attention so we put our shoes back on and headed to the arcade.

This Duo Drive game was a big hit for Zhen and Zechariah!

Zechariah enjoyed playing the Duo Drive racing game at the Nonstop arcade.

They loved playing race car games like Mario Kart and Duo Driving. Michala discovered a dance game featured KPOP songs– her absolute favorite– so she hopped on the mini dance floor and started dancing to her favorite KPOP jams.

Zhen loved play8ing Pac-Man on the giant screen.

We also tried the Raving Rabbids Virtual Reality game and we were very surprised how real the game felt.

I’m going to tell you a secret: I couldn’t stop squealing because I felt like I was riding on a roller coaster! Haha!

It was the coolest thing. Michala, Zhen, and Zechariah couldn’t get enough of it and played the virtual reality game about three more times!

Zechariah love the virtual reality game SO much that he played it over and over.

We didn’t get to experience the bowling alley, bumper cars, Go-Karts, miniature golf, or laser tag because we had run out of time.

Travis and I plan on taking the kids back later this month so we can play the other games we missed.

NURSING MAMA TIP:

Allegiant Nonstop is a family-friendly entertainment center. This means you can bring your children of all ages. If you are a nursing mama like I am, Nonstop has a very nice Lactation Room for you to nurse Baby in a comfortable and quiet setting.

WHAT WE THINK OF ALLEGIANT NONSTOP

Honestly, there is just so much to explore at Allegiant Nonstop that I don’t think a person can play every single game in one day! I think this is a good thing because it gives you something to look forward to.

So maybe one weekend you want to take the family bowling and eat pizza. Then another weekend your family can play miniature golf, go-karts, and laser tag.

And yet, on a different weekend, you all can enjoy the arcade and bumper cars! It truly makes for an enriching experience for the whole family!

Nonstop Arcade
I would give the arcades and play zone a 10 out of 10. There are arcade games for just about every age group, from age 3 to adult.

MAMA SAFETY TIP:

Stay with your children at all times. Allegiant Nonstop is so much fun and there is a lot to experience so it’s easy to get distracted. If I was playing a game, I made sure Michala was watching Zhen and Zechariah.

My little ones are runners (LOL) so I know as soon as I turn my back, they will take off and start exploring on their own!

Our overall experience at the Nonstop arcade was amazing! We loved the food and the games. I would give the arcades and play zone a 10 out of 10. There are arcade games for just about every age group, from age 3 to adult.

Oh and I forgot to mention, you will also have an opportunity to earn tickets when you play the games. You can turn the tickets in for a prize at Nonstop’s prize store.

When we go back to experience the bowling alley, go-karts, bumper cars, miniature golf, and laser tag, I will write another blog post to share our thoughts with you.
