A new Black History Month art exhibit called “Black Family: Representation, Identity and Diversity” is now on display in Downtown Detroit. Ten high school students from the Detroit School of Arts were chosen to feature their artwork at the 1413 Woodward Avenue storefront. It’s part of an art competition sponsored by Bedrock and hosted by the local mentorship group Leaders Amongst Leaders.
You can vote for your favorite art piece in the competition and the winner will receive a grand prize: a gift basket of art supplies valued at $1,500. The competition ends on February 28th so make sure to cast your vote soon!
