Save the date for the spring edition of Detroit Black Restaurant Week (DBRW SPR21)! The annual foodie event will start tomorrow, April 9th, and end on April 18th.
So far, there are 30 Detroit restaurants participating in DBRW SPR21! (See below for the complete list of participating restaurants.) There will also be a second date for DBRW this summer– August 20 – 29, 2021.
This is the perfect opportunity to discover new restaurants or show your favorite Detroit Black-owned restaurants some love, especially after the impact of COVID-19.
Partnering with Pepsi, DBRW founder Kwaku Osei-Bonsu says the Pepsi partnership will “allow us to do some amazing things.” Kwaku is also offering free entries for restaurant owners who will like to participate in the event.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE DETROIT BLACK RESTAURANT WEEK
“We have some amazing events covering the vegan lifestyle, collectible paraphernalia, special events, guest chef pop-ins, and much more!” says Kwaku Osei-Bonsu. Here are a few things you can expect at this year’s event.
- This year’s event will be two weeks long!
- COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place.
- You can order online, curbside pickup, and contactless service.
- Digital events and some creative in-person events are planned for DBRW SPR21.
- Food trucks and caterers will also be available.
- Vegan meal options are also available.
- Make restaurant reservations online through exploretock.com.
