Ready for some more spooky fun this weekend?
There are so many Halloween events happening in and around Detroit that it’s hard to choose just one. I want to go to them all, especially now that I have my Halloween costume ready!
If you’re looking for fall-themed events where you can show off your cool Halloween costume, then check out my event picks for this weekend. I discovered three family-friendly fall events and two Halloween events for the grownups that I think you will love.

1. Oktoberfest Gala Weekend | Ticket prices vary.
Date: October 20 – 22 (Friday – Sunday)
Time: Friday, 10/20 (6 p.m. – 10 p.m.)

Event Summary: The Disability Network Wayne County Detroit is hosting a fall festival extravaganza all weekend long!
FRIDAY
Friday kicks off with DNWCD’s Oktoberfest Gala. The evening will include a live performance by Detroit-based musicians JRGotTheHiTS, food catered by Experience Relish, wine tasting, live painting by Detroit artist Phillip Simpson, and a silent auction.
Gala ticket prices range between $65 to $75. Click here to purchase your tickets.
SATURDAY
Saturday’s festivities will include live music, a silent disco (featuring DJ Sydney Jordan, DJ Seals, and DJ Urihouse), games, treats from Detroit vendors, face painting, and more!
Cost of admission for Saturday is only $10, and kids under age 12 get in free. Purchase your tickets online here.
SUNDAY
Sunday’s festivities will have a different vibe from Saturday’s event day. The theme for Sunday is “Tailgaiting in the Garden.”
Enjoy live music, food trucks, lawn games, Bubble Therapy Experience, and The Coloring Museum poppin’ up!

2. Cider in the City | Free to attend. Prices vary for activities and food.
Date: October 21 – 22
Time: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. (both dates)

Event Summary: Cider in the City returns this weekend at Beacon Park! Enjoy fresh donuts, cider, and apples from Blake’s Farm.
Activities include pumpkin picking, horse-drawn hayrides, face painting (Sunday only), crafts, lawn games, and more.
3. HallowGlow Nights at TreeRunner Adventure Park | Prices start at $38.
Date: October 20 – 22 (Friday – Saturday)
Time: 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. (Friday – Saturday) and 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. (Sunday)

Event Summary: TreeRunner Adventure Park is hosting their popular Halloween event HallowGlow Nights. Enjoy an evening of spooky fun as you walk through the woods with Halloween glow lights.
Other activities include glow ziplining (a low-to-the-ground zipline is available, too), gem mining, mini golf, and bounce houses at the junior park for kids! Each guest will also receive candy.
4. Found in the Underground V: Halloween at Tangent Gallery | $15

Event Summary: My friend Ami (who also photographs my amazing professional portraits!) is hosting a mega Halloween event! Found in the Underground V is for ages 21 and up and will be held at the Tangent Gallery in Detroit.
The event will feature over 30 artists and vendors, three stages of music (rock, rap, electronic), and delicious food available for purchase from Pink Flamingo Detroit.
Costumes are encouraged, and there will be a costume content with a $75 gift card prize. Purchase tickets here.
5. Puff N Paint Pumpkin Edition | $35 – $55

Event Summary: Art by Asiana is hosting a Halloween-themed, cannabis-friendly painting afternoon at The Squeeze Station in Southwest Detroit.
Enjoy an elevated afternoon expressing your artistic side. I’ve been to a High Tea Puff N Paint event at The Squeeze Station and it was great time filled with a lot of laughter and fun talks.
