Celebrate “Family Steam Day” this Friday with the Michigan Science Center (MiSci) and the Ford Motor Company Fund! Admission will be free for the whole family!
What is Family Steam Day? STEAM stands for science, technology, art, and math. On Friday, July 13, 2018, MiSci, with the support from Ford Motor Company Fund, is making fun, engaging, and educational activities accessible for the whole family by offering FREE general admission to the science center.

Family STEAM Day special activities include:
Enjoy MiSci’s “explosive” Kaboomistry live stage show and learn where the fireworks you see this time of year get their colors!
Check out Spark! Lab where the whole family can explore their inventive creativity. Take the challenge to invent an alien or build a droid!
Make your own slime in BASF Kids’ Lab with Playful Polymers.
Learn to fold paper airplanes and fly them in the STEM Playground.
Explore Kids Town with MiSci’s “out of this world” activities and crafts! Make and launch your own rockets, make a model of the solar system, and more!
Additionally, general admission includes 250+ hands-on exhibits, live stage shows and much more. Planetarium and 4D theater tickets will be available for purchase at the box office.
