TEDxDetroit returns for its 11th year on Wednesday, November 6th! The annual conference will be held at the Masonic Temple beginning at 8 A.M. and concluding at 6 P.M.

MEET TEDXDETROIT LABS’ THREE INSPIRING WOMEN!
LAUREN CLAYBORNE, DIRECTOR OF TEDxDETROIT LABS
Residing in Downtown Detroit, Ms. Clayborne is the Director of TEDxDETROIT Labs. She also works as an event planner assisting professional athletes with philanthropic efforts. Ms. Clayborne is excited to assemble TEDxDetroit Labs for the first time!
“Exhibitors range from local startups to organizations who want to demonstrate their products,” Lauren Clayborne said. “Leave the ‘everything isn’t perfect’ mantra at the door and join us!”
ANU GOPALAKRISHAN, TEDxDETROIT LABS TECHNOLOGY CURATOR
This is the first time Ms. Gopalakrishan will serve as the TEDxDETROIT Labs Technology Curator. Her duties will include managing operations for the lab and connecting technology-focused businesses with attendees of the event.
Ms. Gopalakrishan resides in Plymouth. Aside from her new role at TEDxDETROIT, she is also part of the Kyyba Inc., team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. At the Kyyba, Ms. Gopalakrishan is responsible for the growth of the innovations and intermedia.
“It’s always great to partner and collaborate with such thinkers and doers of the community,” said Gopalakrishan. “Also, it’s a natural addition to what I already do within the start-up innovation ecosystem. I want to continue giving back to a city that is a global epicenter for innovation and sustainable growth.”
JENNYFER CRAWFORD, TEDxDETROIT LABS MARKETPLACE CURATOR
Founder of Ask Jennyfer (All Things Detroit, Beacon Park’s Night Market) Jennyfer Crawford will be returning to TEDxDetroit for the second year in a row. Ms. Crawford’s role as Marketplace Curator will be to manage local makers and vendors.
Ms. Crawford’s work includes many beloved Detroit events such as All Things Detroit, Beacon Park’s Night Market, and more city events. She is also a podcaster. and she has partnered with the Downtown Detroit Partnership and the NAACP for past special events.
“I love being involved in TEDxDetroit because it gives me a chance to work with a great group of people and to provide a great opportunity for small businesses to be seen,” said Ms. Crawford. “TEDxDetroit Labs gives attendees an opportunity to connect with businesses and individuals – who may or may not be TEDxDetroit speakers – and have a great talent to share.
