Happy Monday! Today on the blog, I’m sharing a few photos from our visit to a Metro Detroit pumpkin patch. It was a mini pumpkin patch so the kids weren’t able to run around and play. We still enjoyed looking around at the pumpkins and picking out a few pumpkins for our home.
Now, it’s another start to a new week and for some reason, I am feeling very motivated. I have a very busy week ahead of me with my creative projects, homeschooling, and house projects. I hope this positive feeling sticks with me all week because I could use a boost in morale (and energy) to get ish done!
One of my house projects is to finally tackle our little front garden decorate it with fall decor. I know, I know. I am really late with our fall decorating. Is it okay to say I’ve been busy with the baby and family life? I’ll just use that as my excuse. 🙂
We had a pretty good weekend. Amazingly, I got to sleep in on Saturday! Woo hoo! Major mom win! When you’re a mom of five, having the opportunity to sleep in does not happen often. This was a big treat for me and also much needed! I felt very refreshed after getting some extra sleep.
Mini-Pumpkin Patch Fun
On Saturday, we took our three little ones to get pumpkins at a Metro Detroit pumpkin patch. We didn’t make it to the big pumpkin patch as I had hoped, but we were able to stop at a mini-pumpkin patch near our home for a little Fall fun.
The toddlers loved it! Even baby Zephaniah enjoyed his time outside. He kept cooing and looking around. The weather wasn’t too cold for him to be outside so I carried him in the Boba. (I love my Boba! Perfect for babywearing!)
Poppy Pumpkins
Zhen and Zechariah found cute Troll-themed pumpkins. They both wanted the Poppy pumpkin so that’s what we got them. Zechariah is Zhen’s shadow and likes to do pretty much everything she does.
I think that’s why he chose the same pumpkin as his big sis. Plus, he calls every troll from the movie “Poppy” because it’s easy for him to say. 🙂
I tried really hard to get a photo of Zechariah with some pumpkins, but he wasn’t feeling it. Oh well. Maybe this weekend I can get some photos of him. Zhen’s fifth birthday is in a week (I can’t believe it!) and one of her birthday celebrations will be at a pumpkin patch.
Still trying to figure out which one in the metro area we should go see. If you have any suggestions, please let me know! I’m looking forward to discovering new pumpkin patches in Southeast Michigan.
Here are some other really cute, painted pumpkins.

What pumpkin patch was this? I grew up going to a small pumpkin patch in metro Detroit with painted ones like the poppy one you showed – wondering if this might be it!
Hi, Molly! This little pumpkin patch was located in Sterling Hgts. off of Schoenherr. The owners ended up selling a couple of years ago, I think. Really sad because I loved taking my kids since it was the perfect spot for little ones!
