Have you heard?
The TEN Nail Bar opened its second location in Detroit! Just in time for summer, The TEN is located in New Center at 6541 Woodward Avenue. The opening of the new location is going to give more men and women the opportunity to get beautiful manicures and pedicures!
Last Friday, Travis and I attended The TEN’s grand opening party and we had the opportunity to tour the new building. I was so excited about this event because I have heard so many good things about The TEN Nail Bar!
When Travis and I arrived at the nail bar, it was packed with many guests who were also excited to see the new location.
Light refreshments were served, and DJ XO played a mix of R&B and hip hop music favorites such as Ella Mai and ZEZE. It was a great night to meet and greet The TEN’s owners and connect with other Detroit professionals.
During the ribbon cutting ceremony, Jackson and Coleman shared a few thoughts with guests.
Jackson discussed how important it was for her and business partner and longtime friend Kelli Coleman to show the business opportunities that can be found in Detroit.
Jackson said there is an opportunity “to employ Detroiters, employ women, employ people of color and to show that Detroit is alive and well.”
“There’s an opportunity here for economic development,” Jackson continued. “There’s an opportunity to do things in a very elevated way– to actually show that Detroit is about that life.”
In an interview with SEEN Magazine, Coleman said employing women, women of color, and single mothers was another important reason why they wanted to open the second location in Detroit.
“We’re really offering not just a job, but they have a sustainable career”, Coleman said in the interview.
The TEN Nail Bar in New Center will offer the same services as The TEN location on Griswold. The nail bar offers a variety of services such as manicures, pedicures, hand and feet treatments, and waxing services.
Congratulations and special thanks to The TEN Nail Bar for inviting Good Life Detroit to the grand opening celebration!
