Exciting news! Toma Detroit won the Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest which was presented by Bedrock!

The Detroit-based restaurant won $50,000 from Comerica Bank and more than $20,000 in pro-bono services from Hatch Detroit and its partners. The runners-up for the contest were Neighborhood Grocery, Paradise Natural Foods, and Slyde.

Comerica Hatch Detroit is an annual contest which supports brick and mortar businesses in Detroit, Highland Park, and Hamtramck. The winner was announced at the Hatch Off, a Shark Tank-style event that took place at the M@dison Building in Downtown Detroit last week.

According to a news release, Toma Detroit will serve fresh, locally sourced simple yet sophisticated cocktails and foods from Latin America. Their tasting room will focus on Tequila and Mezcal and will educate guests about regional distillation methods and styles of Agave.

Congratulations, guys! We wish you the best.
