It seems I am subconsciously preparing for the slow season (aka winter is coming!) because last weekend all I wanted to do was take things slow.
But there were errands to run and projects to finish, so my weekend was kinda chill and very much productive.
On Saturday, I stopped by the farmers market, as I usually do at least twice a month, to get fresh apples for the kids, maple syrup, honey, farm eggs, and more herbal tea.
I’m also stocking up on my favorite farmers market goods: honey, maple syrup, and tea. I’ve been buying extra jars of honey and maple syrup and packages of tea for when snow hits or it’s just too cold outside and I don’t feel like leaving the house.
Last year, we had quite a few snow days, and I found myself without my favorite teas or completely out of Michigan maple syrup. Lesson learned!
Throughout the weekend I worked on a few work projects, binge-watched my shows, and did a little creative writing. Travis also grilled on Sunday, and we had delicious BBQ chicken and salmon.
During dinner we finalized our Thanksgiving dinner menu and the activities we want to do with the kids. Have you already shopped for your Thanksgiving dinner?
We’re going to get our Thanksgiving groceries this weekend and start cooking next Tuesday (which is also my birthday!).
I can’t believe Thanksgiving is already here. I’m looking forward to the holiday season, but time sure is going by fast!
Hope you have a good week! xoxo
