About Good Life Detroit

Good Life Detroit (GLD) is a Metro Detroit-based lifestyle blog created by Jennifer Hamra. Jennifer began her blogging journey in the fall of 2015. The blog was first established as a personal photography journal to share her big move to Detroit and city life experiences with family and friends.

In 2016, Jennifer shifted the focus of GLD into a lifestyle blog. Good Life Detroit has blossomed into a lifestyle blog which features a variety of topics about art & entertainment, culture, family life, and women’s lifestyle.

Jennifer Hamra is the creator of Good Life Detroit. Born and raised in Tennessee, she relocated to the metro Detroit area in April 2015 after her husband’s active duty service in the Army ended. Jennifer is also the mother of five children who keep her very busy. She loves Detroit’s cultural diversity, delicious food, and intriguing art scene.
